"Aran Island #5"
The past few weeks have been extremely busy with creating works for upcoming shows as well as a few commissions. I'm certainly not complaining. Often when these hectic times come about I tend to think about where I'd like to go for a break. The number one spot so far is Inishmore Ireland. The island is part of a group of three islands called The Aran Islands. The painting above is one of the sights seen from Dun Aengus, a popular fort that sits on the edge of a cliff. If I ever retire...that's where you'll find me.

It's a gorgeous area and you've somehow captured the feel of it for me even though this is a close in image! Just beautiful!
What a wonderful happy place. My husband & I hope to visit Ireland one of these days. Your painting certainly inspires a visit!
Thank you Jane! I don't do many seascapes so it's good to hear that the feeling came across.
Thanks Kathleen! You and your husband really should visit Ireland. It's just beautiful!
Breathtaking... I feel as though I'm (almost!) there... is the water really that luscious color?
Thank you Garriott! Surprisingly, the water is that blue. It was just breathtaking.
It was nice seeing your happy place...I feel better too! :) Great water!
