Determination Proclamation

Mayor's Award - "Alum Creek Trail" - 30 x 40" - oil

This is kind of old news but news nonetheless.  The painting above titled "Alum Creek Trail" received the Mayor's Award along with a Proclamation at the "WAAL at the MAC" juried show last month.  I'm not sure but I think that the proclamation loosely means that in the case of an artistic emergency I'm free to rule the city of Worthington with and iron fist.  The show will be up until March 18th if you haven't been by the McConnell Arts Center yet.

Right now I'm preparing for  a solo show in Fredericksburg, VA at the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts.  The show will be up for the entire month of March with the opening reception scheduled for Friday, March 2nd from 6 to 8:30pm.  Following the show opening, on Saturday, March 3rd starting at 11am I will be giving a painting demonstration in the member's gallery.  I will be posting pieces for the show very shortly so stay tuned.

receiving the mayor's award from the honorable Harvey S. Minton (l) and show co-chair Bill Westerman (r)

Steven,
I've stumbled back into blog-land and found this! Excellent news for sure. And the painting is awesome... worthy of any award. You'll make a great ruler of Worthington.

Alright, headed back to the studio to see if I can catch up with you... who am I kidding? There's no catching up with you, Mr Walker!!

All the best,
Doug
