"The Shore #2" - 8" x 10"- oil
Two weeks ago we went to the beach for vacation. I haven't been to the beach in probably twenty years and I haven't had a real vacation in three years. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if this was a real vacation. Is it a vacation when you take work with you? Well, I took my french easel with me just in case I was inspired. Well it didn't take long before inspiration struck. Because it was technically vacation, I kept my painting time down to a couple of hours a day. The painting above was just one of the pieces that I was able to complete during the week.

Haha! Glad you finally took a "vacation" Steven! But no, your not suppose to take work with you :D although if you didn't we would be so lucky to see this beautiful piece!! Its nice to see for those of us who haven't been to the beach yet :) Now its like I've been on vacation too! Can't wait to see your next piece.

Yes, well we are in Orlando and it is too damn hot to do anything outdoors until the evening. I thought we may trip to the Gulf Coast around Tampa and hang... Maybe take some photos to store away for later ideas!
Shore line painting is nice, but I agree with Dawn. Vacations are for chillin' out!
Thanks Dawn and Ben! Knowing me I'll never have a proper vacation. Does thinking, dreaming and talking about painting count as working?
LOL! I wish I could say it was what working could be for me :) Painting is my vacation pasttime LOL!
