"A Path of its Own"
The painting above was the first of the two paintings that I worked on for my painting demonstration day at the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts in Fredericksburg, VA. Demonstrations are both fun and nerve wracking. There's the excitement of painting in front of a crowd but the other side of that is the pressure. A room full of eyes watching every brushstroke you make. They sit and watch while wondering "why did he just do that?" or "how is this going to turn out?" Without some preparation and a lot of confidence you can quickly find yourself back pedaling out of an embarrassing situation. Fortunately I've been embarrassing myself for years.
