"January's Trail" - 18 x 24" - oil
Last week I received news that "January's Trail" was one of two paintings of mine that was accepted into the Richeson 75 Landscape competition in Kimberly,WI and the 2012 International Salon show at the Greenhouse Gallery in San Antonio, TX. This news is both good and bad for me. It's obviously good because I was accepted but it's even sweeter because I tried twice before unsuccessfully. This lets me know that the work's improving. The bad news is that I don't know how to handle good news. All in all this seems like a good problem to have.

Congrats Steven! So well deserved and yes, it is a good 'problem' to have. I have loved your work from the first moment I saw it a number of years ago and I have seen the changes too. It just proves that we all can strive to do better. I think that is a constant for those of us who want to grow. Very happy for you!
